California 2011: Post-Graduation Vacation. (Part I)

Dearest Readers:

I’m farther away from some of you than usual, and closer to others.

I’ve also got a sunburned nose, chest, and upper arms.

Even after wearing sunscreen.

So far I’ve dropped my favorite shoe in the ocean (it has since dried), eaten a lot of food, had/have a cold, seen a movie, seen some friends in Oceanside, driven around a lot, and been to mass and the zoo with Kels and her family.

I’m rather hungry so I won’t say anything else, but here are some pictures to tide you over until I feel like a real post:

A tablecloth at a restaurant where I had a mashed potato quesidilla with mashed potato inside, BBQ pork and avocado on top. It was delicious.

My mother taking a photo. “Proof” that she is on the trip.

Boats. On the beach.

Horrid hair, lovely car. Sadly no, I didn’t get to drive it.

Kellen really liked the Dik Diks, but then we saw this zebra:

I’m off to go hunt down some breakfast, have a very happy Monday!

a slightly crisped, somewhat sickly, and rather exhausted but happy

  1. Hey Emilie,

You need to call me. I want to use some of your time that you are spending here on vacation. I figured since your Mom was busy with the conference I could steal you. Thoughts? I will even pick you up in that lovely car!

  2. I like your outfit in the red car photo. Looks like you are having a good time. 🙂

I can’t wait to see you upon your return!

  3. Love me some dik dik! And I had a great time today. Thank you for accompanying me on yet another getting-lost adventure!

Something to say?
